We built this for our own children first.
TutorChum exists because the existing options didn't meet the bar. Tutors stopped showing up. Quality was inconsistent. There was no way to know if your child was actually making progress. Is the tutor actually qualified?
Profiles show exactly what we've verified — ID, the qualifications they claim, and reviews from real completed lessons. Watch their intro video, then judge them in person at the free meet-and-greet.
Can I watch or sit in on lessons?
Yes, especially for younger children — the chum will know to expect you. And after every lesson, the chum's notes on what was covered land in your dashboard.
What does it cost and how does payment work?
Chums set their own rates per subject, starting from ₦1,000/hr — you pay per lesson in naira via BudPay, no subscription. The meet-and-greet is free, and cancelled lessons refund to your wallet up to 6 hours ahead.
What if it's not a fit?
Switch chums anytime, free — your next meet-and-greet is on us. The free first meeting exists exactly so you can judge fit before paying.
Is my child's data safe?
Yes — we're NDPA-compliant, we never sell data, and children's data carries extra protections, including no marketing emails to minors. Payment details are handled by BudPay, never stored on our servers.
